New grant awarded

Following the bidding round set up by Bexley Council and Bexley CCG, we have been successful in our Prevention and Early Intervention grant applications for some existing and some new services.  All in all, we have been awarded just over £100,000 for each year starting October 2013.  Our grant funded services are: 
Carers ServiceIndividual support enabling carers to continue with their caring role such as help with forms, support with reviews and appeals, liaison with professionals, signposting and support with emotional (health and mental) wellbeing of being a long term carer.
Friends and Clubs: Prevent social isolation through opportunities to bring people together
Black Book Buddies: Support to access health care services (annual health checks etc), operate and maintain a database of people with a learning disability with personal health profiles, reminding and following up on medical appointments
Respect in Bexley: Supporting people with a learning disability to express their views and opinions about issues which affect their capacity to live independent and meaningful lives.
