Student Nurse Teaching Sessions

posted 26 Feb 2014, 04:05 by Bexley Mencap
Staff and Respect in Bexley Members have been delivering teaching sessions to student nurses as
part of their degree course at the University of
Greenwich.  The nurses follow a three year programme and we have been supporting their learning now for several years. Over the last month, staff and self advocacy group members (Respect in Bexley) have been teaching nurses about the issues surrounding working with families and also the views of people with learning disabilities and carers.  Our programme of involvement with the teaching programme carries on next month with further sessions on the impact of learning disability on families and providing information in accessible format.
