Respect in Bexley are finalists!

Congratulations to our Respect in Bexley group for being selected as finalists in the Leaders List!

The Leader’s List celebrates people who are making things better for themselves and for other people.  This year there was a special list for people who have made a difference during the Covid pandemic.

Respect members have carried on working very hard during lockdown to talk about issues affecting people with a learning disability. They’ve worked with other organisations in Bexley, and nationally, to talk about how things could be changed to be better.  They’ve all had to learn how to meet using Zoom but the group didn’t let that stop them from doing their work because is it so important.

With their help we have been able to raise lots of issues that people have faced during Coronavirus and worked with lots of other people to try to make things better.

We are very proud of them for being chosen as finalists showing how their hard work is making a difference to the lives of people with a learning disability.
